Meet Sarah Melançon & Holly Kay of Melançon-Kay Studio


Sarah and Holly have LSU photo department to thank for bringing them together.

During the Fall of 2008, both Sarah and Holly took their first, basic, B&W film photography class. After meeting and getting to know each other, they realized that their interest and goals were similar. They quickly became friends and started scheduling all classes together. For the next year, they concentrated on school and LSU football, of course.
Then, the following Fall of '09, Holly was inquired to shoot a wedding for someone she knew from her hometown, Mandeville, La. Knowing she didn't want to tackle it alone, she asked Sarah to shoot it with her. So, their first gig was November 2009 and it has grown since then. 
In May 2011, Sarah and Holly both received their Bachelors in Photography from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. 
   
They are so happy to work together as business partners and as best friends. Sarah and Holly enjoy so much of what they do and look forward to a long journey ahead.

Weddings from Mandeville to Sarah's hometown of Raceland, they have shot many different areas including, Thibodaux, Houma, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Opelousas, etc. This past summer, they traveled to Houston, TX and also look forward to a Pensacola wedding next Fall!
